The Vacuum Pump Seal on your Jaguar is a gasket that seals the vacuum system and prevents vacuum leakage at the mating surface between the pump and the engine. If you can hear a hissing noise from the vacuum pump area of your engine while it is running, or if the brake pedal feels different or has more resistance than usual, have your brake and vacuum system checked over as soon as possible by a competent person as a safety precaution.
