The sump pan on automatic gearbox in your Jaguar has the Transmission Fluid Filter built into it, and is replaced as a whole during a Transmission Fluid Service. If you notice that the gearchanges in your Jaguar have become less refined or as smooth as you are used to, and the transmission fluid level is correct, it may be a good idea to have the fluid and filter replaced by a competent person
