The Timing Chain kit includes new replacement Timing Chains, Tensioners, Guides and Blades. Failing to replace the Timing Chain when worn could lead to catastrophic engine failure, as the camshaft and valves are no longer working in sync with the crankshaft and pistons, and any engine repair of this nature can often be uneconomical on older vehicles. If you are unsure of the history of your Jaguar, or can hear a rattle coming from the front of your Jaguar's engine, consideration should be taken into replacing the Timing Chains, Tensioners and blades as a precautionary measure for peace of mind.
