The Shock Absorbers on your Jaguar mount to the Lower Control Arms through a bush that allows for a solid fastening, with the flexibility to allow for the components to move as required as the suspension does its work. Over time, the bushes may start to deteriorate or perish. Replacing these bushes can be an economical fix, as it means you don't need to replace the whole shock absorber, especially if the shock absorber itself is still working perfectly fine. Always replace bushes in pairs across the axle. If you notice any knocking noises as you travel over bumps in your Jaguar, have the suspension system checked over by a competent person, and have any worn parts replaced as required.
