Ball Joints are a durable device for fixing suspension components in a way that allows free movement around a pivot to allow for the movement of the steering and suspension set-up. Over time these Ball Joints can wear out, and you'd notice this effect by hearing knocking noises as you steer or drive your Jaguar over bumps.
