The Idle Air Control Valve in your Jaguar's engine has the function of controlling the idle speed by allowing air to pass when the throttle is closed, to keep the engine running. If your Jaguar has suddenly started cutting out when you slow down to junctions, or won't idle correctly, then have a competent person check over your Jaguar to investigate the fault and to make any repairs as necessary.
