The Fuel Pump and Sender Unit sit in the top of the fuel tank. The Fuel Pump draws fuel from the tank and pumps it to the engine. This unit also incorporates the Sender Unit with a float to relay the fuel level to the gauge on the dashboard. If the fuel gauge is giving false readings, or if your Jaguar won't start, or you cannot hear the Fuel Pump working with the ignition on, have a competent person remove the Fuel Pump and Sender Unit to see if it can be repaired, or requires replacing.
