Your Jaguar has a Dual Mass Flywheel as part of the clutch assembly. The dual mass flywheel on your Jaguar is designed and made to reduce the natural vibrations of a diesel engine through the drive line and into the Transmission. This improves the driving experience by adding refinement to the drivetrain, and reducing wear in your Jaguar's gearbox caused by vibrations. It is best practice to replace a Clutch Kit and Slave Cylinder at the same time as the Flywheel, as often the labour involved makes it a false economy.
