Your Jaguar has a flexible hose at the Clutch Slave Cylinder to maintain a sealed hydraulic system to operate the clutch when required. The Hydraulic Clutch pipe system in your Jaguar is rigid for the most part, but requires a flexible hose at each end wheel to allow for the normal movement of the engine and transmission. Over time the hoses can perish and split, or the connections can corrode. If you have corroded connections, or the hose is perishing, have these replaced immediately as a split hose on your Jaguar will leak fluid, resulting in clutch failure.
