The exhaust Clamps on your Jaguar are there to securely keep the sections of the exhaust sealed together in place. Being under the car, they are exposed to the elements and once disturbed they are prone to failure doe to fatigue or corrosion, and require replacement. If you are planning on removing any section of your exhaust for any reason, it would be good practice to replace these clamps as a matter of course.
