The Crankshaft Pulley on your Jaguar's engine (also called a Vibration Damper Pulley, or Harmonic Balancer) is a specially made Pulley with an inbuilt vibration damper. When the vibration damper fails, you will typically notice a loud, hard, rattling noise from low down on the front of the engine. To bring back the refinement of the engine at idle, consider having the Crankshaft Pulley checked on your Jaguar by a competent person.
