The Clutch Slave Cylinder in your Jaguar acts on the Clutch Pressure Plate to disengage the Transmission from the Engine's Flywheel when you depress the clutch pedal. If your Slave Cylinder is faulty, you might notice that the clutch pedal has become increasingly stiffer to operate, you can hear squeaking from the engine bay when you operate the clutch or you completely lose feel in the pedal and it and won't operate the clutch at all or spring back when released. If your Jaguar exhibits these symptoms you should have your clutch system inspected to diagnose the fault.
