The Clutch Release Bearing and Slave Cylinder in your Jaguar is one unit. When you depress the clutch pedal, the hydraulic fluid acts on the slave cylinder to press the fingers of the clutch plate, seperating the engine from the transmission when changing gear. The Bearing part of the assembly bears the load while allowing for the clutch assembly to rotate. A worn bearing will make strange noises or cause vibrations you can feel through the clutch pedal. You may notice the clutch pedal is getting stiffer, or the gear changes are not as smooth as you would expect from your Jaguar. If any of these symptoms occur, have your Jaguar inspected by a competent person to diagnose the issue and make the necessary repairs.
