The Camshaft Position Sensor works alongside the Crankshaft Position Sensor. The Engine Management system uses data from the sensors to time the ignition and fuel injection. Symptoms of a failed Camshaft Sensor in your Jaguar will include failing to start when the engine is warm, dying intermittently, or illuminating your Check Engine light. A faulty Camshaft Position Sensor can cause your Jaguar to run poorly, using more fuel and emitting more pollutants.
