The Inlet Valves and Exhaust Valves on your Jaguar's engine are operated by rotating camshafts underneath the Cam Covers. The Camshafts are made to very precise tolerances, and if they wear down, your Jaguar might require a replacement. Poor maintenance, or lesser quality Engine Oil will increase the rate of wear in any internal moving parts of your Jaguar's engine. Your first symptom of a worn cam lobe might be a misfire. Have a competent person check over your Jaguar's engine if you have any misfiring, as you will be losing performance and efficiency.
