The Brake Master Cylinder - a critical component in your Jaguar's braking system. When you press the brake pedal, it acts on the pistons inside the brake cylinder to distribute the hydraulic pressure through the brake lines to the brakes at each wheel. If the brake pedal is feeling spongey, or the brakes don't feel as sharp as they should, you must have your Jaguar's braking system inspected as soon as possible as a safety measure by a competent person, and any faults rectified.
