The Sump Pan Gasket sits between your Jaguar's Sump Pan and the engine block, and is there to seal the mating surfaces and prevent oil leaking past under pressure while the engine is running. These gaskets can go hard over time, and become compromised, meaning oil can seep past. Replace this gasket with a new one any time the sump pan is removed. If you notice oil leaking from your Jaguar's engine, have a competent person clean the engine properly, and investigate where the leak is coming from.
