The Electric Water Pump is a key part in your Jaguar that works in conjunction with the thermostat and Engine Management Unit to maintain the optimal operating temperature of your Jaguar's engine by assisting the flow of coolant as and when required. If this water pump is faulty the engine can't properly cool itself under high loads, which may lead to overheating and the possibility of a very expensive repair indeed further along the way. If you have noticed a coolant leak from the front of your Jaguar's engine, or maybe even that the temperature gauge is rising above normal, you must have the cooling system in your Jaguar inspected by a competent person as soon as you can.
