The Air Temperature Sensor in your Jaguar works with the rest of the sensors and control units in your engine to maintain optimal efficiency and performance. A faulty Air Temperature Sensor will cause your Jaguar to run less efficiently, emitting more pollutants as the Control Unit makes it's decisions regarding air and fuel supply with inaccurate data. If the Check Engine light illuminates, have the engine management system checked over by a competent person who has the knowledge and equipment to investigate the system and can check for faults in the sensors and components.
